SnapRefund v4.0.6 is Live

Tightened Access Controls, Smarter Payment Flows, and Platform-Wide Experience Improvements

Access & Security Improvements

Receive-only sign-up access has been restricted to recipients with an active pending payment. Previously, the sign-up page was publicly accessible via a direct URL. Users can no longer reach the sign-up flow unless they have arrived from a legitimate payment link, reducing exposure to unauthorized access attempts.

As an additional privacy measure, Social Security Number and Employer Identification Number fields throughout the sign-up flow now mask entered characters as asterisks by default. A show/hide toggle has been added to each field, giving users the ability to review their entries without compromising visibility to others nearby.

Payment Experience Updates

Sender-Controlled Payment Method Availability

Senders now have direct control over which payment methods are available to recipients at cash-out. Payment method availability can be toggled during single payment creation, and adjusted from Transaction History for any payment that has not yet been cashed out. Once a payment is cashed out, the available methods are locked for record accuracy.

Improved API Error Responses

Payment endpoints now return detailed error response payloads in place of generic failure responses. Developers working with the ClaimsSnap API will receive clearer, more actionable messaging when transactions do not complete successfully. API documentation has been updated to reflect all possible response outcomes across payment endpoints.

Paper Check Address Display

Address cards in the paper check selection flow now correctly display recipient names. Submissions with incomplete name information are blocked at the point of entry, and name validation has been added on the backend to prevent incomplete check details from being submitted downstream.

Platform-Wide Improvements

This release also includes:

•        A spam and junk folder reminder has been added to the email verification screen, prompting users to check alternate folders before requesting a resend

•        Payment method options in the guest checkout flow now display side-by-side as intended, correcting a layout regression

•        The address form in the receive-only sign-up flow now accepts all supported characters, including the # symbol

•        Clicking on a transaction row whose detail pane is already open no longer triggers a repeated slide animation

•        The Confirm button on the Payment Details screen now renders with clear visual emphasis, consistent with primary action button styling across the platform

•        When attempting to resend a verification email during the active cooldown period, users now see a single notification instead of duplicate alerts

•        Sender names containing special characters now display correctly in recipient payment notification messages

AgentSnap Updates

Corrected Email Branding

AgentSnap emails now originate from the correct sender domain and display accurate support contact information. The email footer has also been updated to show the AgentSnap logo, left-justified to match the formatting standard established in ClaimsSnap emails.

Summary

Version 4.0.6 strengthens platform access security, expands sender control over payment method availability, improves API reliability for developers, and delivers a series of targeted experience improvements across ClaimsSnap and AgentSnap. This release reflects SnapRefund’s continued commitment to a secure, intuitive, and consistent payment experience.
