SnapRefund v4.0.0 is Live

Improved Onboarding, Expanded Wallet Infrastructure, Automated Refunds, AiSnap, and Platform-Wide Reliability Improvements

Version 4.0.0 represents one of the most comprehensive upgrades to ClaimsSnap and AgentSnap to date. This release strengthens onboarding reliability, expands public API flexibility, enhances payment infrastructure, introduces multi-wallet support for PayPal and Venmo payouts, launches AiSnap, and delivers meaningful security and usability improvements.

Upgraded Signup Experience

An improved signup flow is now fully deployed across both ClaimsSnap and AgentSnap platforms.

The result is a faster, simpler, and smoother onboarding experience aligned with the broader SnapRefund UX.

Payment Infrastructure Upgrades

Expanded Public API Capabilities

Public API users can now send payments to recipients who do not yet have a SnapRefund account. Pending payments function seamlessly for email-only recipients, existing users, API-created users, and recipients invited by other senders.

This reduces integration friction and better supports embedded and marketplace-style workflows.

Payment Edge-Case Resiliency Improvements

We resolved edge cases that prevented pending and direct payments from completing successfully, including niche guest checkout issues, placeholder account conflicts, and attachment-related validation errors.

Direct Payment Funding Source Control

Senders now have clearer visibility and control over the bank account Direct Payments originate from. The updated flow includes a funding source selector (Trust Account, Operational Account, Wallet) and a visual display of available payment rails for the selected source.

Automated ACH Failure Refunds (ClaimsSnap)

Version 4.0.0 introduces automated refund handling for ACH failures.

ClaimsSnap now:

  • Automatically detects ACH failures
  • Refunds the sender’s original bank account if necessary
  • Sends detailed notification emails to Admin, Owner, and Claims roles
  • Sends Slack notifications to configured channels

Refund notifications include the ACH failure reason code, recipient email, memo, original send date, source bank, and amount. Funds are returned only to the originating bank after settlement is confirmed.

Multi-Wallet Support & PayPal Integration (ClaimsSnap)

To support Venmo payouts via PayPal’s API, ClaimsSnap now supports multiple wallet balances per sender.

Senders can:

  • View two distinct wallet balances: RTP and Venmo
  • Fetch balances via the API and dashboard
  • Deposit to or withdraw from wallets via the API and dashboard

This expansion supports PayPal-backed wallet functionality while maintaining strict balance control and audit accuracy.

Introducing AiSnap: Artificial Intelligence Insights for your Transaction History (ClaimsSnap)

Version 4.0.0 introduces AiSnap, SnapRefund’s first AI-powered feature, integrated directly into the Transaction History experience.

Senders can interact with their transaction data conversationally, ask questions about activity, view recent session history, and receive suggested follow-up prompts. The interface mirrors modern conversational AI tools while maintaining appropriate safeguards and access controls. AiSnap marks the beginning of SnapRefund’s broader AI roadmap focused on intelligent financial workflows.

Security & Account Protection Enhancements

New accounts must now verify their email before receiving full access. This strengthens access governance, guest checkout security, and reduces brute-force payment access risks. Existing accounts retain uninterrupted access through a migration process.

Platform-Wide Improvements

This release also includes:

  • Prevention of duplicate guest checkout accounts
  • Improved mobile responsiveness on payment pages
  • Fixed settings page rendering on direct URL access or refresh
  • Resolved temporary UI exposure during logout
  • Real-time vertical progress tracking for AgentSnap invoices
  • Updated RTP icon to reflect Real Time Payments
  • Dynamic copyright year handling in customer-facing emails

Summary

Version 4.0.0 delivers improved onboarding, expanded API flexibility, stronger payment reliability, automated operational safeguards, multi-wallet infrastructure, AI-powered transaction insights, enhanced security, and platform-wide polish.

This release strengthens SnapRefund’s foundation while introducing an advanced layer of intelligent tooling that will continue to evolve.
